What a big weekend for a little boy!
Marcus had his first trip outside of Wellington. He went to New Plymouth for the holiday weekend (what am I saying - for a 3 1/2 month old every day is a holiday weekend!).
The drive was hard-going for a wriggly, active boy. But mum and dad now look at the trip so differently --- we now look for child friendly places to change him, to feed him, to have a rest, looking for places he can run around in a year... the adventure park in Levin has it all!
He got to meet his great grandparents, stayed with his grandparents, met his aunties, and two more cousins. He hung out in a couple of good cafes (UltraLounge was good). He slept in the same room as his mum and dad (who had forgotten how noisy a baby can be in the same room at night). But he didn't get to see Mt Taranaki, which is shrouded in cloud 362 days a year.
He was a very happy baby with all the cuddles and kisses he got from everyone. And then when he got home he celebrated by sleeping 12 hours on Monday night!
A blog site for Shelley and Karl to update friends and family on them and the boys.
