Marcus and dad
A couple of weeks ago Marcus had to move from the laundry bench to the laundry floor for changing. He's getting to be a big boy, 4 1/2 months old this weekend. As I'm sure all babies are, he's a completely different boy every day. He's making heaps of sounds, grabbing things all the time, smiling and cooing and laughing heaps. He's not learned to do the dishes yet (or pretends not to) but we love him anyway!!!
Marcus and Grandad Graham
A couple of weeks ago Marcus got to meet his other grandparents, Irene and Graham from Cromwell. It was an exciting weekend, especially coming the week after his trip to New Plymouth. There were heaps of cuddles. Marcus got to watch the rugby with his grandad.

Marcus' big trip
What a big weekend for a little boy!
Marcus had his first trip outside of Wellington. He went to New Plymouth for the holiday weekend (what am I saying - for a 3 1/2 month old every day is a holiday weekend!).
The drive was hard-going for a wriggly, active boy. But mum and dad now look at the trip so differently --- we now look for child friendly places to change him, to feed him, to have a rest, looking for places he can run around in a year... the adventure park in Levin has it all!
He got to meet his great grandparents, stayed with his grandparents, met his aunties, and two more cousins. He hung out in a couple of good cafes (UltraLounge was good). He slept in the same room as his mum and dad (who had forgotten how noisy a baby can be in the same room at night). But he didn't get to see Mt Taranaki, which is shrouded in cloud 362 days a year.
He was a very happy baby with all the cuddles and kisses he got from everyone. And then when he got home he celebrated by sleeping 12 hours on Monday night!

Marcus met his great grandma in the weekend. It was very exciting with heaps of cuddles. Great grandma was also looking lovely!
